ABOUT THE PROPRIETOR

Barbara Greczny apprenticed with the late Tibor Horvath in classical portrait photography. Through experimentation with different darkroom techniques Barbara developed a love for image manipulation. When she left Horvath Studio to pursue a formal education she took an information technology design course and discovered the endless possibilities digital manipulation software had to offer. She moved from the tactile darkroom to the desktop laboratory for image creation.

She graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 1997 winning scholarships and awards for her film/video work (an extension of the still image). She has been a member of the Symbiosis Artists collective since it’s inception in1992 exhibiting site-specific works that challenge the imagination. She has collaborated on various film/video projects within the arts community.
